ANDREW C. DESAUTEL  

Andrew Desautel was born into a military family, and grew up on military bases all around the United States.   Mr. Desautel graduated from the University of Wyoming with a B.S. in Accounting.  After graduating from the University of Wyoming, Mr. Desautel attended and graduated from the University of Dayton School of Law. Upon graduation, Mr. Desautel began practicing law in Atlanta, Georgia.  He has been a member in good standing of the Georgia Bar Association since 2001.

Andrew Desautel is admitted to practice in all counties in the State of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, the United States District Court of Northern District of Georgia, and the United States District Court of the Southern District of Georgia.  Mr. Desautel is also appointed by the Supreme Court of Georgia as a Mentor in the Transition into Law Practice Program of the State Bar of Georgia, which allows Mr. Desautel to share his legal experience while serving as a mentor to lawyers just beginning their careers in the State of Georgia.

Andrew Desautel began his trial practice representing individuals and employers for and against claims for Workers’ Compensation.  Later, his practice expanded to represent individuals injured in negligence actions, including automobile accidents, medical malpractice, injuries while on the property of another, and products’ liability.  Mr. Desautel has represented both husbands and wives in divorce actions, and has successfully received child support awards and child custody verdicts.   

Andrew Desautel is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association for Justice (formerly the American Trial Lawyers’ Association), the American Bar Association, the Workers’ Compensation section of the State Bar of Georgia, the General Practice and Trial Section of the State Bar of Georgia, the Tort and Insurance Section of the State Bar of Georgia. 

Academically, and socially, Andrew Desautel organized and participated in several clubs and associations.  At the University of Wyoming, Mr. Desautel served as president of his fraternity, Kappa Sigma.  In law school, he participated in the Hispanic Law Students Association, and organized and founded the University of Dayton School of Law Ice Hockey Club team.  Mr. Desautel also was a member of the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Association) in which he helped prepare income tax returns for poor or uneducated people in his community.  

In his time outside of work, Andrew Desautel enjoys playing ice hockey and softball, volunteering for charities such as the March of Dimes, and spending time with friends and family.
